Saturday, June 2 @ 10 am – Having trouble growing the perfect plants? Get answers at the Master Gardeners’ plant clinic.

Teen Gamers
Saturday, June 2 @ 5 pm – Teens, (grades 6-12) bring your friends for an evening of gaming. We have Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Wii, PS3, or play the newest Halo game on X-Box 360! Refreshments will be served.

Teen Anime Club

Adult Crochet Group
Tuesdays: June 5 & 19 @ 6 pm
Thursdays: June 14 & 28 @ 6 pm
Adults and teens age 14+ are invited to attend the Project Lap Blanket crochet group. We will crochet or knit blankets for cancer patients at area hospitals. All skill levels are welcome. Can’t attend? Pick up a pattern at the library, crochet in your spare time and drop it off. Drop off any yarn you’d like to donate during regular library hours.

Teen Volunteer Orientation
Wednesdays: June 6 & 13 @ 4 pm
The library is a great place to get your volunteer hours! Orientation is mandatory and counts as your first service hour. Class size is limited; please call 90-4827-6960 for registration information.

Book Sale
Saturday, June 9 @ 9:30 am-noon – Do you love books? Do you love your library? The Friends of the Library will hold this month’s book sale. Books of all kinds and items such as DVDs, CDs, VHS tapes, and audiobooks will be available! Proceeds from the book sale support programs at the library.

Blood Drive
Saturday, June 9 @ 9:30-12:30 – Did you know that a pint of donated blood can save up to THREE lives? Book it to the library and be more than someONE’s hero! Call Dan @ 904-827-6960 to make an appointment.

Knit in Public Day
Saturday, June 9 @ 6 pm – Come by and say “hi” to the Bartram Trail knitting group! They have created more than 400 blankets that have been donated to patients receiving chemotherapy in local hospitals. Want to help? Bring some Red Heart Supersaver yarn!

Genealogy Club

Teen Craft Program: Decorate Your Own Book Bag
Thursday, June 21 @ 2 pm – You can always use another tote! Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to show off their style by decorating their own canvas book bag. These bags are fun to design and can be used over and over again, and would make a great gift. Canvas bags and decorating materials are supplied by the Friends of the Library.

International Affairs Discussion Group & Book Club
Thursday, June 21 @ 6:30 pm – The International Affairs Discussion Group will meet to discuss international current events. The discussion will be moderated by Joseph Warner, retired U.S. diplomat and adjunct professor of Geography and International Relations at UNF. A reading list of suggested books and articles will be available in time to prepare for the discussions. The topic for this month’s discussion: The Indian Ocean–Area of Opportunities or Threat?
