Klare Ly, Public Affairs Director for State Attorney R J Larizza, informed Historic City News local reporters that 65 year-old defendant Robert Keith Sherley was sentenced to thirty years in prison today after entering a plea of “no contest” to two first-degree felony counts of robbery with a firearm.
The defendant robbed Wells Fargo on November 18, 2011 and confessed to the robbery of Tom’s Fruit Market in St Augustine on January 27, 2010 — just days after being released from prison.
Circuit Judge Wendy Berger sentenced Sherley to serve thirty years in prison and adjudicated him guilty.
The defendant was credited with 214 days’ time served in jail.
Assistant State Attorney Josh Alexander prosecuted Sherley.
