Arrest of homeless man charged with lewd behavior

Historic City News was informed this evening that a 56-year-old homeless man has been taken into custody by police and charged with lewd and lascivious behavior involving a victim less than 16-years-old.

Richard Louis Orzechowski was booked into the St Johns County Detention Facility just before 7:00 p.m. Saturday night, where he is being held without bond on the second-degree felony charge.

Historic City News has been unable to reach a spokesman for the St Augustine Police Department, however, a copy of the incident report has been requested. Additional details surrounding this arrest will be reported as soon as city officials respond.
