Jason Rickards, MFRC, PWS, St. Johns County Utility Department Compliance Coordinator, informed Historic City News local reporters that his office has issued a “Retraction Notice” to lift the original “Boil Water Notice” in effect for portions of three Ponte Vedra Beach subdivisions.
Streets in the Innlet Beach subdivision and all of the Hidden Oaks and Villa Del Mar subdivisions, were impacted, including Nina Court, Nina Lane, Tereba Court, Thousand Oaks Boulevard, Thousand Oaks Drive, Veranda Court, Veranda Lane, and Villa Del Mar Drive.
The boil water notice had been in effect since November 1st when a water main break occurred.
The St. Johns County Utility Department has completed lab tests showing the water is now safe for consumption.
Public warning signs are being removed from the area at this time and the local media has been requested to run this retraction media release. Citizens may also call the Boil Water Notice Hotline at (904) 209-2731 for additional information.
