O’Kon for Historic Architectural Review Board
When the St Augustine City Commission convenes on Monday evening, one of their responsibilities will be to fill the vacant seat on the Historic Architectural Review Board resigned by John Valdes. I would like to tell you why I believe Walter J. O’Kon would be an excellent choice for that seat.

Commission deliberates parade fee waivers
Since a new ordinance went into effect June 1st, the few parades, races or processions still held in St Augustine, known as “Right-of-Way events”, are required to fully reimburse the city from a menu of estimated costs; ostensibly incurred for the use of public streets or other city resources.

Commission to appoint new Review Board member
When Grant Misterly reached the end of his maximum term on the Planning and Zoning Board and James McCune decided not to reapply, John Valdes resigned his seat on the Historic Architectural Review Board and was appointed to the PZB; leaving a vacancy for his unexpired term.
