U.S. Congressman John Mica was in St. Augustine today for a speaking engagement before a capacity crowd attending Mobility Summit 2010 this morning — Historic City News Editor Michael Gold and eight other local Republican Party officials were guests of the congressman for lunch and updates on legislative issues this session.

Shots fired in an early morning attack
Three men in custody today following arrests in an early morning drive-by shooting incident in southern St. Johns County, according to an announcement received today by Historic City News local reporters.

Detectives seize 57 grams of marijuana
St. Johns County Sheriff David B. Shoar reported to Historic City News that a 49-year old St. Johns County man has been arrested on drug charges this morning following the execution of a search warrant at his home.

Christensen will leave with mixed emotions
In an interview this afternoon, County Judge Patti A. Christensen told Historic City News editor Michael Gold that she expects it will be “a hard transition” for her; leaving friends and co-workers in St. Augustine who she’s known as a judge for the past ten years.

City opens Lincolnville dialog
