Letter: City flaunts its own regulations for Dining with Dignity

My name is Debra Valenti-Epstein, I live in Lincolnville and I own two additional vacant building lots at 89 and 98 Washington Street.
Historic City News was notified by Florida Department of Transportation Public Information Officer, Monica R. Reifeiss, that traffic will be impacted at the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations where roadwork is being conducted.
Be alert to lane closures and temporary detours, as well as increased congestion in these areas. FDOT employees and contractors will be working on the roadways and need your full attention.
Ed Poppel, the University of Florida’s liaison to the Board of Directors of UF Historic St Augustine, Inc., said it all when he said in an interview after Wednesday’s special board meeting, “I heard nothing today in the discussion that would suggest relocation, removal, or in any way altering the Loring Monument.”
St. Johns County Emergency Management hosted the annual Hurricane Preparedness Exercise at the Emergency Operations Center today.

The Board of Directors of UF Historic St Augustine will meet in special session Wednesday morning to hear a presentation of options for the General William Wing Loring memorial and grave located in Loring Park on the west side of Government House.
