The 74-year-old Hilton Head Island man who fled the scene of two November crash scenes, James Rex Voorhees is in jail at the Flagler County Detention Facility after being extradited from South Carolina.

On December 11th at approximately 6:00 a.m., officers arrested, James Edward Rattigan, for driving under the influence in the area of the North Interchange of North Ponce de Leon Boulevard and Perpall Avenue area. Rattigan was transported to the St. Johns County jail.

A total of approximately 45 students were on two St Johns County school buses at about 2:20 p.m. Monday afternoon, when the vehicles collided, sending two students to Baptist South for evaluation of minor injuries.

Although vehicles accessing the beach do not need a beach pass until March 1, 2018; from now until then, Historic City News readers can purchase a current 2018 annual county beach driving pass.
