After completing an independent criminal investigation considering allegations of “criminal misconduct” between a Flagler County deputy sheriff and a female inmate, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement presented their findings to the State Attorney for the Seventh Judicial Circuit, R. J. Larizza.

St Augustine families will celebrate the official start of summer Friday with the reopening of the community pool at the Willie Galimore Community Center located at 399 Riberia Street in Lincolnville.
St. Johns County spokesman Michael Ryan told local Historic City News reporters that the county is offering a free shuttle service to Mickler’s Beachfront Park in Ponte Vedra Beach as well as to the St. Johns County Ocean and Fishing Pier in St Augustine Beach on each of the three largest summer holidays.
An annual physical count of homeless individuals is used to gauge the number of persons or families in a community who meet the federal definition of “homeless” as set forth by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The count is accomplished in partnership with community agencies, churches, local government, law enforcement and volunteers, by the St. Johns County Continuum of Care who coordinates the count.
One of the recommendations that came out of developing a Historic Master Plan for St Augustine, was identifying the need for a citizen’s preservation advocacy group.
