Traffic returns to Riberia Street starting at 5 pm Friday
City of St. Augustine Deputy Director of Public Works, Todd Grant, announced to Historic City News today that travel along Riberia Street, from King Street to Bridge Street, would resume Friday evening.

Seawall at Summer Haven completed early
Originally not expected to be finished before April 2012, the Florida Department of Transportation reported to Historic City News that this week a new seawall running along SR-A1A north of the Flagler County line to Summer Haven has been completed — months ahead of schedule.
Commission OK’s $589,850 Cultural Council request
Tourist Development Council Executive Director Glenn Hastings requested County Commissioners to transfer $589,850 from Reserves on Tuesday to various line items within the Arts-Culture-Heritage category to support the contractual obligations of the St Johns Cultural Council under a recently revised $2,162,004 budget for fiscal 2012.

Two teenage girls recovered after faking abduction
Historic City News has received word that the two Palm Coast teenagers, who said they were kidnapped from The Hammock yesterday evening, have been located in the Orange Park area by Clay County sheriff’s deputies shortly after 1:00 a.m. this morning.
