16th Annual Community Banquet honors law enforcement

300-RED-BLUE-LIGHTHistoric City News has learned that, this year, Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida will recognize St. Augustine Beach Police Officer Erin M. McLerran, St. Augustine Police Sergeant Anthony Cuthbert, and St. Johns County Sheriff’s Corporal Gregory T. Suchy; among the 20 law enforcement officers in the 7th Judicial Circuit who have been nominated by their supervisors for outstanding service.

The development plan for the St Johns Children’s Museum does not make sense to me, and it shouldn’t to the City Commissioners or the administration at the City of St Augustine, either. For a minute, let’s not use the term “Children’s Museum” and instead, say “developer”.

I have written to our Mayor and St Augustine City Commissioners asking that they please reconsider their hasty, ill-advised, possibly unconstitutional, 5/7 waiver of archaeological excavation fees from David and Sandra Corneal for the property at 102 Bridge Street.
