Since 1938, the Florida American Legion Auxiliary has sponsored the annual Girls State program to stimulate a desire to protect the privileges and responsibilities of our democratic form of government in High School Juniors, like Samantha Cosme.

Free Movies at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre
Gates open at 7 p.m. and each movie will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are not required, as the event is free and open to the public. There will not be a charge to park at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. No outside food or drink.
According to figures obtained by Historic City News this week from the Florida Office of Economic and Demographic Research in Tallahassee, as of FY-2012, the average income in the state was $41.012 per year.
