Pedestrian struck by passing motorist on US-1
Lieutenant Ellery Collado reported to Historic City News that a 2003 KIA Sorento, driven by 77-year-old Katherine Sloan of St Augustine, was traveling northbound on US-1, in the outside lane when the driver drifted from her traffic lane striking a pedestrian.






Debbie Delgado reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
At 8:00 a.m. Historic City News will be watching as St Augustine Mayor Nancy Shaver travels to Miami to participate in an event honoring the United States Army Golden Knights.


This week, Historic City News welcomes eighteen new firefighters and certified Emergency Medical Technicians to the ranks of the St Johns County Fire Rescue.
Public Information Officer Jeremy Robshaw reported to Historic City News that on Thursday, firefighters trained in large animal rescue techniques successfully freed a horse that had become stuck in a muddy ditch next to a set of Florida East Coast Railway tracks.
