Senators shoot back at Florida TaxWatch
Florida TaxWatch urged Governor Rick Scott to veto 107 budget items Thursday, including three in St Augustine, but top Florida Senate leaders said the policy-study organization’s annual list of financial “turkeys” is a worn-out publicity gimmick — intended more to get publicity for TaxWatch than to safeguard the taxpayers’ money.

Republican Assembly wants details on Fiddlers Green
The St Johns County Republican Assembly reported to Historic City News that their organization has officially adopted a resolution concerning modification of the original agreement between the St Johns County Board of Commissioners and Florida Lands Trust concerning the dilapidated Fiddlers Green building on Vilano Beach.

The Fiddlers Green boondoggle is that special kind of pork barrel spending that just will not die. The county acquired the property in 2006 for the staggeringly out of bounds price of $5.5 million dollars.
