Shortly after 7 am this morning, Historic City News learned that Joe W. Hagans, a nineteen year old construction worker employed by Matrix Employer Services, an employee leasing service, was fatally injured while working on the St. Johns County Jail renovation project.

The Ides of March will have the eyes of city commissioners and guests on the variety of facilities through which our city government serves us according to an announcement received by Historic City News from the St. Augustine Report this morning.

Historic City News has learned from the St. Augustine Report published by the City Department of Public Affairs, that If plans can pass muster with two citizen boards and our City Commission, the Bishop’s Building will return to the St. George Street half of the Bank of America parking lot.

Sgt. Charles E. Mulligan reported to Historic City News today that someone shot a cat through its front legs Saturday evening around 7 p.m.

17 year-old Dwight Hines was taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice detention facility Thursday — but not before he lead a deputy sheriff on a foot chase and assaulted him with a .22 caliber handgun according to a report received by Historic City News on Friday.
