State Attorney John Tanner had the 7th Circuit Court issue a warrant today for the arrest of Tropical Storm Fay alleging that “with willful intent and malice aforethought” Fay has destroyed literally hundreds of his political campaign signs — signs which Tanner warned were not to be tampered with or vandalized.
St. Johns County has announced to Historic City News this revised schedule for garbage collection:
No garbage will be collected on Friday, August 22, due to severe weather.

Many people I have spoken to have been staying home watching the Summer Olympic essential service workers in health care-water utility-and emergency services have been shifted into overtime working 12 to 16 hour shifts to help us weather this storm.

Damage Assessment Reports in St. Johns County:
The County is asking Historic City News to inform residents that if any property owner has property damage from Tropical Storm Fay, to please call the citizen hotline at 824-5550 to report the damage.

City of St. Augustine Offices Closed due to effects of Tropical Storm Fay
Historic City News has been notified that the offices for the City of St. Augustine will be closed today, Friday August 22, 11:30 a.m . due to the effects of Tropical Storm Fay.

Historic City News has just been advised by the St. Johns County authorities that the Bridge of Lions as well as areas of King Street between US 1 and Malaga Street are now closed.
