Pet Adoption Event scheduled

The St. Johns County Division of Animal Control announced that a Pet Adoption Event is scheduled for April 19 at the Starbucks on County Road 210. The Sertoma Club Thrift Shop off U.S. 1 South will donate all its proceeds from April 27 to the Pet Center.

Won’t be long now. The finishing touches are being completed to Avenue “D” Extension at it’s new intersection with U.S. 1 North; across from the Madeira sales office.

Big brother: Traffic Cameras

I’ve read several articles and witnessed the installation of traffic cameras in surrounding areas and have to wonder if traffic surveillance cameras are not inevitable in our future. Last week, red light cameras were activated at six heavily trafficked Palm Coast intersections.

PACT 2008 Town Hall Meeting

Adolescents use alcohol more than tobacco or illicit drugs in both St. Johns County and across the nation. Almost one out of two St. Johns County high school students has consumed alcohol in the past 30 days and the average age at which they begin is 13 years old.

Stranded passengers at St. Augustine St. Johns County Airport this morning had not yet received word that Skybus ceased all operations effective Saturday, April 5. SASJC Airport employees were on the scene of the former Skybus hanger to deliver the bad news to passengers.
