Historic City News readers are invited to meet the artists and watch their pieces come to life on Sunday, April 22, the opening day of the 2nd Annual St. Augustine Plein Air Paint Out. The “Quick Draw” rapid painting session takes place at the Lightner Museum Gardens, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Sheriff engages scheme to hide record of relative’s employment

Although we still have not received the records from St Johns County Sheriff David Shoar concerning his “retired-then-rehired” public information officer, and long-time family member, Charles Edgar Mulligan, Historic City News has learned more about the scheme being employed to hide the records of Mulligan’s continued employment.

Bids open for management of Ocean Pier Park market

Friday, April 13, 2018, Historic City News was notified that the St Johns County purchasing department has issued a request for proposals from individuals or organizations interested in management of the farmers market at the St. Johns County Ocean Pier Park. Proposals must be received by Thursday, May 17th.
