The City of St. Augustine reminded Historic City News this weekend that, with funding support from the St. Johns County Tourist Development Council, they are offering a free park and ride shuttle on the peak dates of the Nights of Lights.
After receiving tip line complaints that prostitutes were advertising their services locally, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit conducted an undercover operation to determine the extent of the criminal activity.
Historic City News was notified by Florida Department of Transportation Public Information Officer, Debbie Delgado, that traffic will be impacted at the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations where roadwork is being conducted.
Be alert to lane closures and temporary detours, as well as increased congestion in these areas. FDOT employees and contractors will be working on the roadways and need your full attention.

Dear Historic City News readers:
I am submitting a formal protest to the St Augustine Beach city manager, Max Royle and Beverly Raddatz, as well as Mayor Rich O’Brien, and Commissioners George, England, and Kostka, concerning the application process and scheduled interviews to fill the vacancy on the city commission created by the resignation of former commissioner Gary Snodgrass.
Saturday, December 2 will be a busy day for Historic City News readers in downtown St. Augustine with two events necessitating the closing of some streets and detours of traffic.
County Commissioners James Johns, St Johns County District 1, reported to Historic City News that registration for the Field of Dreams baseball league 2018 Spring season has opened through December 22 and is free for all participants.
In support of the principle that constitutional rights should not stop at state lines, Republican US Congressman John Rutherford, 4th District of Florida, informed local Historic City News reporters that the House Judiciary Committee advanced the Fix NICS Act and the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act (HR 38) to the full House for consideration.
