When I attended Ketterlinus Jr. High School in the 1960’s, the school district began to teach something called “new math”. I never understood that, since 10 + 10 was still equal to 20. But, I was a teenager then and didn’t care what they called it, so long as we could bring cans of Coca Cola from home for our lunch. In any case, me and Delinda, our official “sniff testing” pig, don’t like the smell of this.

Early voting slow with one week until Primary Election
St Johns County Supervisor of Elections Vicky Oakes told Historic City News editor Michael Gold that if 30% of St Johns County’s registered voters cast a ballot in the Primary Election August 26th, she will be pleased. That number may be wishful thinking.

St Johns deputy cited for careless driving patrol vehicle
Historic City News has been informed that a St Johns County Deputy has been cited by the Florida Highway Patrol in a crash that occurred on Thursday August 7th at about 4:00 p.m. along US-1 north, when the deputy rear-ended a 31-year-old female driver when she slowed to obey a traffic control device.
