In an article by Jensen Werley, a reporter for the Jacksonville Business Journal, Historic City News learned that St Johns County will not be one of the eight Florida counties to share in about $2 billion in economic impact from the construction of the “All Aboard Florida” passenger rail system.
Man impersonating police captured by real detective

Sergeant Catherine Payne informed local Historic City News reporters today that last night, in a strange turn events, a man driving a one-time police cruiser attempted to pull over a real detective driving and unmarked vehicle on International Golf Parkway; and, today, the civilian driver remains in the St Johns County Detention Facility in lieu of $5,500.00.

St Johns County designated a “Healthy Weight Community”
Historic City News was on hand this morning when the Florida Department of Health recognized St Johns County as a “Healthy Weight Community Champion”. The recognition was presented by Dr. Dawn Allicock to members of the county commission.
