Cathedral Parish commemorates founding with new book

Father Thomas S. Willis, rector of St Augustine’s Cathedral Parish, announced to local Historic City News reporters that Cathedral Basilica of Saint Augustine is marking the 450th anniversary of its founding with a new book, “America’s First Parish: The Cathedral Basilica of Saint Augustine”.

St Johns teen held in lieu of $105,000 bond

St Johns County Sheriff’s detectives began an investigation last Thursday morning at 5:45 a.m. after a resident in the 200 block of Honeysuckle Way reported a burglary to his residence and two vehicles, according to a bulletin received by Historic City News from department spokesman, Kevin Kelshaw.

Taken in foreclosure by Wells Fargo, the 71,000-square-foot high-tech, high-security office building at 90 Fort Wade Road in Nocatee that was built to house MDI Holdings, has been sold for $10 million, according to a deed recorded with the St Johns County Clerk of Court.
