Historic City News has learned that the efforts of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to identify and retrieve lost and abandoned blue crab traps from St Johns County waterways will be complete by Sunday; allowing fishermen to return their recreational and commercial blue crab traps.

Adam Shockey, owner of Tour Saint Augustine, the city’s oldest and largest receptive group tour operator, announced to local Historic City News reporters today that he has purchased another popular local tourism company; St Augustine City Walks.

Lola’s Burrito Joint raised local eyebrows with its choice of menu names that some considered offensive, but now the Riverside-area restaurant is getting some national exposure because of the gaffe.

Beginning today, in St Johns and other east Florida counties from Nassau through Volusia, recreational and commercial blue crab traps must be removed in preparation for a 10-day trap closure allowing the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to identify and retrieve lost and abandoned blue crab traps from the water.
