Facebook will allow fact-checkers to censor news

In an exercise of futility and hopeless labor, that will no doubt rival the punishment of Sisyphus, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is changing direction on a commitment he made last month that the company will not try to be “an arbiter of truth” when it comes to content posted by its 1.8 billion users.





If you have ever driven an automobile through St Augustine during the past ten or twelve years, you know the frustration of non-standard, for-profit vehicles adding to congestion and menacing moving targets like pedestrians, bicyclists, and other automobiles.
Outreach Manager Joan Whitson of the Early Learning Coalition of North Florida, contacted Historic City News in St Augustine last week to report on this year’s book-bag distribution to three and four-year-old children in St. Johns, Putnam, Clay, Bradford, Baker and Nassau counties.
Administration spokesperson Angelina Gervasi reported to Historic City News that the St. Johns County Library Advisory Board has elected their new slate of officers for coming fiscal year, 2016-2017.




Two meetings going on now for the St Augustine City Commission, being held in the meeting room of the Fullerwood Training Center, 10 Hildreth Drive in North City due to construction in The Alcazar Room, where most city meetings are held.
