Tea Party hosts sheriff candidate Debra Maynard



Jill Leverett announced to local Historic City News reporters that in honor of the important African American heritage of this community, Castillo de San Marcos National Monument will host a special evening event on Saturday, February 20, 2016.

Debbie Delgado reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
Beginning on Monday, February 8th, and running through February 22nd, the City of St. Augustine has informed Historic City News that Sebastian Harbor Drive, behind the police department, will be closed.
During today’s 2:00 p.m. update, Historic City News local reporters learned that St Johns County has its first CDC-confirmed case of Zika fever illness; bringing the Florida total reported cases to fourteen.
I-95 northbound lanes from CR-210 to Old St. Augustine Road are scheduled to close Monday through Thursday from midnight to 5:00 a.m.
Historic City News readers will want to attend the St Augustine City Commission meeting on February 22nd when Maria and Bob Alvarez are presented the prestigious Adelaide Sanchez Award for Historic Preservation, Restoration, Education and Interpretation on behalf of the Saint Augustine Garrison.
