450th Youth Ambassadors Take a JOURNEY

The St Augustine Visitor Center was the stop for the Youth Ambassadors in February 2014. We had been to the Visitor Center one other time when the Picasso exhibit was located there. But this time, we had the opportunity to see the exhibit called, “Journey: 450 Years of the African-American Experience.”

Two cultural giants of St. Augustine were honored at the St. Augustine Art Association’s 90th Anniversary gala attended by Historic City News on February 7th.
Once again, The St Augustine Art Association brings another historian and acclaimed author, Dr. Wayne W. Wood, to present a free lecture on the life and work of the late Julian Courtenay Hunt; to be held on Thursday, February 20, at the St Augustine Art Association. Historic City News readers are invite to join and learn.
Daniel D. Holiday updated Historic City News editor Michael Gold this morning on the completion of a major sewing project undertaken to complete replicas of the authentic main sail and top sail that would have been hoisted by 17th century Spanish boat builders aboard the Espiritu.
