In a few weeks, St Augustine residents and visitors will be part of a year of commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the signing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the role our extended community played in the Civil Rights Movement.



Lt Jeremy Robshaw reported to Historic City News this morning that selections have been made to be recognized as this year’s Firefighter and Paramedic of the Year; selected from members of St Johns County Fire Rescue department, based on peer nominations, and decided by an appointed awards committee.
Barbara Golden, Communications Manager for the St Augustine, Ponte Vedra and the Beaches Visitors and Convention Bureau, informed local Historic City News reporters about the following entertaining events for our St Johns County readers.
