Historic City News was notified that this Saturday, November 23rd, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Fort Mose Historic State Park, the Fort Mose Historical Society, and Florida Living History, Inc., will present the latest edition of their “Experience Fort Mose” Series.

The Florida Pancreas Cancer Coalition, Inc. announced to Historic City News its formation today; to raise local funds for pancreatic cancer research.

Historic City News reader Ted Pappas reported that, last night, the Veterans Council of St Johns County held a special free presentation by Florida National Guard Command Historian Gregory A. Moore in the Virginia Room of the Ringhaver Student Center at Flagler College.

The most exciting moment on Light-Up! Night is light-up itself with the honor of “flipping-the-switch” to light the city’s tree and the city itself being shared each year by members of the community selected by the mayor.

Jon Burpee informed local Historic City News reporters that, on November 23th, the National Park Service will host an evening that will bring the historic timeline of the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument to life.
