Fire Rescue warns of home heating risks
Jeremy Robshaw, Public Information Officer with St. Johns County Fire Rescue, reminds Historic City News readers that, as the temperature outside drops, St. Johns County families take to the indoors to keep safe and warm; they may not realize that turning up the heat can increase the risk of home heating fires.

Sheriff David B. Shoar informed local Historic City News community reporters that the members of the Ponte Vedra Municipal Service District recently purchased an Automated External Defibrillator to be placed in the Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit assigned to the MSD.

Most of St. Augustine’s stores and restaurants were closed yesterday in celebration of Christmas; traffic was generally light, parking lots were largely empty, only one carriage on the bayfront, shoe-leather was the mode of transportation for most of those out sightseeing.
