The St. Augustine will meet Saturday, December 11th at the residence of Dan and Yolanda Ditmore who reside at 82 1/2 Water Street.

With all the new-found attention on pirates in Saint Augustine, local Historic City News reporters headed to the beach this morning to see just who might be burying, or retrieving, a cache of jewels and gold.

An airline for St Augustine

The St. Augustine Airport, once known as the St. Augustine Municipal Airport, has changed its name once again. The rumor on the street is that a scheduled airline is to come.

Historic City News was informed by St. Johns County spokeswoman Karen Pan, that The William Bartram Scenic and Historic Highway has been recognized recently with several awards for its Master Plan and website www.BartramScenicHighway.com.

Adam Morley asks Historic City News readers to remember that there is a way to recycle expanded polystyrene foam, such as the cushioning material used in packaging, polystyrene beads, or peanuts.

Darby L. Stubberfield, Director of Development for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida reported to Historic City News reporters that The St. Augustine Independent Restaurant Association recently held its first annual food and wine festival to benefit THE PLAYERS Championship Boys & Girls Club.

Historic City News received word this evening that a 12-year-old Palm Coast boy got an unexpected ride in a helicopter tonight after he wandered away from his family and got lost in Bulow Plantation Ruins State Park in Flagler County.
