In light of the recent advances regarding the plan to create a new fire station that will combine our county and city fire and emergency rescue services, two fundamental issues arise, tax dollars and response times. A new city fire chief will be appointed soon and I feel assured that so much positive cooperation will continue. The current level of coordination between our county and city emergency resources, the chiefs and personnel is nothing short of superb.

As a Marine veteran and a community activist, I would like to share my opinion about the manner in which the veteran’s monument at the corner of Cathedral Place and Charlotte Street, in the northeast corner of the Plaza de la Constitution, has been obscured by electrical transformers, utility meters, and other fixtures.

I write today to share my deep concern about the office of the Treasurer of the Board of Directors of Julington Creek Plantation Property Owners Association. As I am sure you are aware, the Treasurer only attended 1 regularly scheduled Board of Directors meeting during 2013.
