Florida East Coast will offer All Aboard Florida service
Florida East Coast Industries, Inc. announced to Historic City News this morning that they are developing a privately owned, operated and maintained passenger rail service to connect South Florida to Orlando, which will be operational in 2014.

Historic City News has learned that in St Johns County, the January 2012 “occupancy growth” for area lodging was 14.5% more than last year, based on information compiled by staff at St Augustine, Ponte Vedra and the Beaches Visitors and Convention Bureau.
Kirsten Miller, who, with her mother, owns Butterfield Garage on King Street, told Historic City News editor Michael Gold yesterday that the Florida Department of Transportation and City of St Augustine should give the community more time to plan before starting a project she says would be devastating for everyone downtown.
In September 2010, Historic City News reported that the first segment of drainage improvement being performed along King Street by Department of Transportation contractor Masci Corporation, was being postponed until January — perhaps a sign of things to come.
