As St. Augustine and St. Johns County’s senator in Washington, I am compelled to respond to The Washington Post article on Friday that accused me of seeking political advantage by embellishing the story of how my parents arrived in the United States.
The very last item of business on Monday night’s agenda before the City of St. Augustine commission is an entry Historic City News readers should note; “Annual Evaluation of the City Manager”.

The Historic City News editorial desk received a letter from St. Johns County Commissioner Mark P. Miner; responding to the news that a 26-year-old front desk supervisor at the Casa Monica Hotel was sent home from work yesterday because he would not remove an American flag lapel pin.
