The events of Halloween have sure changed my perspective on core values that I have held for as long as I can remember. My parents taught me right-from-wrong, and even in the absence of someone to tell me otherwise, you’d be surprised how easy I have always found it to know the difference.

Dear Historic City News editor:
I did not want to be disrespectful during Monday night’s city commission meeting when commissioner Neville misstated my race, however, I wrote him a polite e-mail after the meeting asking for a public correction which he has ignored. His response may have been more upsetting than his original mistake.

Our office was under more than two-feet of standing water. Our local base of twenty-five thousand daily readers were each touched by the storms and many face continuing hardship for the foreseeable future.
