Numerous car burglaries and the theft of two vehicles in the Ponte Vedra Beach Municipal Service District are under investigation this morning, according to an alert received in the Historic City News room overnight.

The Office of the State Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate the cause of a residential structure fire that consumed one mobile home in the 8400 block of CR-13 North earlier this morning.

St Johns County Sheriff’s Office Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw informed local Historic City News reporters that an arrest has been made in the investigation of numerous car burglaries reported over the past two nights.

Telling Historic City News reporters that they have determined that the 20 year-old assailant continued to beat his 60 year-old victim, even after the man had been knocked to the floor, detectives with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office filed attempted murder charges against Kenneth Peters yesterday evening.

Day four into the investigation of decomposed human remains discovered near McCullough Creek and an update on additional physical evidence recovered from the scene by officers and K-9 units brought in from around the state.

Deputies with the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office are currently seeking the whereabouts of an individual who was last seen around 2:00 p.m. near Crescent Beach, according to an alert received by Historic City News this afternoon.

Debra Johnson reported to the Historic City News crime desk that members of the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office spent much of the day yesterday cleaning up a marijuana grow operation that was discovered when workers arrived to change locks on a rental house.

Early this morning, Historic City News was notified that robbery homicide investigators from St Johns County, Putnam County detectives, specialized K-9 Units from Brevard County, along with recruits from the St Johns River State College Criminal Justice Academy expanded the search near McCullough Creek for additional evidence following the gruesome discovery Sunday of skeletal human…
