Flagler drunk and drugged driving campaign
Public Information Officer Debra Johnson told local St. Johns County reporters with Historic City News that the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has launched an enforcement campaign aimed at removing impaired drivers from the community highways in conjunction with the Governor’s proclamation of December as “Drunk and Drugged Driving (3D) Prevention Month.”

A former deputy sheriff with the Indian River County Sheriff’s Department, who has been living in St. Augustine, is in custody today in lieu of bonds totaling $1.5 million dollars, according to records received by Historic City News this morning.
The Monday afternoon arrest of a 66 year-old Palm Coast man culminated an eight month investigation by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office and the Tri-County Narcotics Task Force into a marijuana distribution operation that has connections to the Midwest.
North Florida High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area announced to Historic City News the arrest of 135 individuals and the seizure of almost 17,000 prescription pills and more than $3.6 million in “Operation Growing Pains”.
Heather Smith, spokesperson with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in Tallahassee, reported to Historic City News that this afternoon at 3:00 p.m., the agency will announce the results of a major prescription drug trafficking investigation in our area.
Community Affairs Coordinator, Sergeant Charles E. Mulligan, informed local Historic City News crime reporters that a convicted felon who resides in Hastings was placed under arrest on Monday when he was found to be in possession of a weapon.
