Planning and Zoning Agency meets Thursday


The St. Johns County local news desk has be notified that the regularly scheduled public meeting of the County Planning and Zoning Agency will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. in the County Auditorium at the Administrative Complex located at 500 San Sebastian View.

AGENDA ITEMS

Public Hearing to consider SUPMAJ 2009-21, Tabernacle Baptist Church. Application for a Special Use Permit to allow for a church in an RS-3 zoning district pursuant to Section 2.03.12 of the Land Development Code along with approval for unpaved off-site parking pursuant to Sections 2.13.15.A and D with a deviation to the requirement stating there is no intervening street between off-site parking and the primary Use.

Public Hearing to consider SUPMAJ 2009-24, Gethsemane Baptist Church. Application for a Special Use Permit to allow expansion of an existing church in an RS-3 zoning district pursuant to Section 2.03.12 of the Land Development Code. The subject property is located on the southeast corner of Daniels and Reno Streets, near the Town of Hastings. This application is filed in conjunction with ZVAR 2009-18 seeking relief from the standard Front Yard setback.

Public Hearing to consider ZVAR 2009-18, Gethsemane Baptist Church. Application for a Zoning Variance to allow a reduction in the First Front Yard setback along Daniels Street, from twenty-five feet (25’) of twelve feet (12’) to allow for the addition of an elevator and machine room to the existing structure foundation. The subject property is located on the southeast corner of Daniels and Reno Streets, near the Town of Hastings. This application is filed in conjunction with SUPMAJ 2009-24 seeking approval for expansion of an existing church.

Public Hearing to consider REZ 2009-17, Picollata. Application to rezone +/- 109.43 acres from Planned Rural Development (PRD Ordinance 2007-87) to Open Rural (OR), location of property within the northwest portion of St. Johns County on the north side of County Road 208, two miles east of County Road 13.

Public Hearing to consider REZ 2009-14, Anastasia Baptist Church. Application to rezone 8.16 acres from Planned Special Development (PSD Ordinance 1992-15) to Open Rural (OR), seeking to expand upon the existing church Use. The subject property is located at the southeast intersection of SR 16 and Circle Dr. E, generally west of Four Mile Road.
