Three pets die in Porposise Road fire last night
Jeremy Robshaw, Public Information Officer with St. Johns County Fire Rescue, informed Historic City News local reporters that in total, seven pieces of firefighting apparatus and 15 emergency personnel responded to a residential structure fire on Porpoise Road at approximately 9:45pm last night.

St. Johns River Community College criminal justice academy announced to Historic City News local reporters that cadets representing St. Johns, Clay, Putnam, Duval, Flagler, Broward and Miami-Dade counties received their certificates of completion for the law enforcement basic recruit program.

Careless driving stop leads to cocaine arrest
Friday afternoon, police tell local Historic City News reporters that Corporal Tim Bryan observed a silver Dodge Neon swerve across the double yellow line in the center of the road in the area of King Street and M.L. King Boulevard.

Juvenile refuses to identify others after arrest
Local St. Augustine reporters at Historic City News have learned that Saturday afternoon about 2:30 p.m., Police Officer Doug Tyus responded to Sunburst Crystal on St. George Street to investigate a shoplifting complaint.

Police recover and return stolen merchandise
Local St. Augustine reporters at Historic City News were informed by police that an anonymous citizen turned over approximately $500 in stolen merchandise that has been returned to several downtown stores.
