Tip from neighbor leads to arrest of three burglars

An alert Palm Coast neighbor provided Flagler County deputies the tip they needed to recover about $3,000 in stolen property this weekend according to a report received by Historic City News.

Amtrak-FEC train proposal picks up steam

St. Augustine Vice-Mayor and Commissioner Errol Jones boarded the Amtrak train in Daytona Beach yesterday, along with former St. Augustine Mayor and Commissioner George Gardner, joining Historic City News Editor Michael Gold for the next-to-last leg of Amtrak’s inspection tour of the Florida East Coast railway between Miami and Jacksonville.

Miner responds to Crist decision from Kuwait

Yesterday evening, St. Johns County Commissioner Mark P. Miner, who will turn 27 years-old on Wednesday while deployed in Kuwait with the Florida National Guard, reacted on the social networking website “Facebook” to the announcement that Governor Charlie Crist is changing his political party affiliation.

Larizza will prosecute three Louisiana escapees

In a joint media conference held today, Historic City News has learned that local State Attorney R.J. Larizza will prosecute the case against three Louisiana fugitives in the death of 29-year-old Vincent Binder; whose body was discovered in a field off SR-16, west of I-95.
