OxyContin object of another Walgreens robbery

For the second time since December, Historic City News reporters have learned that a local Walgreen’s pharmacist has been robbed, at gunpoint, inside their store — not of cash, but of the prescription painkiller OxyContin.

“The Internet tax certificate process is fast-paced and can bewilder the novice,” St. Johns County Tax Collector Dennis Hollingsworth told local reporters with Historic City News.

Tax collector to use Internet bidding at tax sale

The St. Johns County Tax Collector’s Internet Tax Certificate sale is scheduled for June 1, 2010, beginning at 8:00 a.m., and will continue to June 2, if necessary, according to a report received by Historic City News this morning.

A 37-year old Georgia woman is in custody on charges of aggravated assault and aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer and faces a host of additional charges today.

Historic City News has received word that a 40-year old St. Johns County man was arrested yesterday evening and charged with capital sexual battery; according to Sheriff’s spokesman, Kevin Kelshaw.

Outreach Director Kelly Franklin informed local St. Johns County reporters at Historic City News that Girl Scout Troop 1057 enlisted the help of 28 other troops in their unit to sponsor a baby shower for Betty Griffin House.
