St Johns County Supervisor of Elections Vicky Oakes announced to Historic City News reporters from her office in St Augustine that Tuesday, January 3, 2012, will be the last day to register to vote or to change your party affiliation before the January 31st Presidential Preference Primary Election.

The Presidential Preference Primary Election is open to all registered Republicans who will participate in selecting Florida’s Republican Presidential Nominee.

Florida is a “Closed Primary” state; voters must be registered with a Political Party to vote in the Party’s Primary.
