Driver speeds through mourners refusing to stop
As members of the public crossed Malaga Street, returning to their parked cars following this morning’s Ceremony of Remembrance, a grey four-door Nissan X-TERRA came flying south on the street; passing dangerously close to departing vehicles and pedestrians.



Kirby B. Green III, Executive Director of the St. Johns River Water Management District for the last decade, announced to Historic City News last week that he is moving up his retirement date — he will leave the agency October 3, 2011.

By the time the St. Johns County Republican Executive Committee began their pre-meeting social at 6:30 p.m. last night, Historic City News reporters found signs that there would be tension during the regular monthly member meeting.
