The City of St Augustine Public Affairs office reported to Historic City News that there is a new City-sponsored exhibit at the Visitor Information Center offering a look into the extraordinary life of 18th century St Augustine.
Through ordinary items uncovered by the City’s archaeologist, Carl Halbirt, and his team of volunteers, the exhibit offers items commonly associated with home life, the routines of a military lifestyle, and event those depicting entertainment; including games and tavern items.
The archaeology exhibit, focusing on various aspects of daily life in America’s Oldest City, is open from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., in the Visitor Information Center located at 10 South Castillo Drive in St Augustine, 364 days a year; closed Christmas Day.
