The St Johns County Recreation and Parks Department reported the following upcoming family event suggestions that may be entertaining for Historic City News readers in St Augustine and St Johns County.
Music By the Sea – Final concert will be Wednesday September 26th from 7 – 9 p.m. The series features a wide variety of music and before concerts start, a local restaurant makes dinner and appetizers available.
Rumble in the Ancient City -Saturday, September 29 join the Recreation and Parks Department and Dead Game Fight Club as they present MMA matches at Ketterlinus Gym. Doors open at 4 p.m., fights begin at 6 p.m. Donations benefit the Recreation and Parks Department Youth Activities.
Bike MS – September 30, the PGA Tour Cycle to the Shore begins a two day event to raise awareness of Multiple Sclerosis. Participants cycle from St Augustine to Daytona on the first day and back to St. Augustine on the second day. To register contact the National MS Society at (904)332-6810.
Sunset Celebration – The first Saturday of every month through December 1, North Shores Improvement Association and The Vilano Beach Main Street Program present “Sunset Celebration.” From 3 p.m. until one hour after sunset, music, unique arts, crafts, photography, delectable treats, ice cold non-alcoholic drinks, and fun are available for the entire family at the Vilano Beach Pier/Pavilion. Old Settler’s Reunion at Alpine Groves – Join us October 27, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Alpine Groves Park where you can view a turn-of-the-century farm house and fruit packing business and experience old-fashioned fun, games, musical entertainment, and education.
