Organizers for the first annual Sunset Rock Music Benefit Concert announced to Historic City News today the final schedule of events including performances by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Terry Sylvester of The Hollies, and contestants from TV talent shows “The Voice” and “Live at the Apollo”.
While a huge number of guests are staying in local beach hotels for the Gentlemen of the Road concert this Friday and Saturday, Sunset Rock offers a free concert at the beach the day-before; this Thursday September 12th at the St Johns County Pier Park.
“A free shuttle service is being provided for patrons to insure ease-of-access,” said organizer Gaye Jones of Artbreakers. “Local patrons of Sunset Rock Music Benefit Concert will be able to park for free at the Betty Griffin Thrift store parking lot located at Pope Road and SR-A1A. The Old Town Trolley will bring you to the Pier and take you back.”
The free shuttle service will run from 5:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.

5:00 p.m. Food and beverage sales begin
5:45 p.m. Local duo “The Rubies”
6:30 p.m. The Davita All Star Band
7:30 p.m. Terry Sylvester of “The Hollies”
9:00 p.m. The Falling Bones
Proceeds from the sale of beer, wine, food and souvenirs, will be split by three charities; local cancer charity Artbreakers, the National Kidney Foundation of Florida, and national chronic kidney disease charity, The Kidney Trust.
