On Wednesday, November 6, 2013, the St Johns County Chamber of Commerce Tourism and Hospitality Business Council informed local Historic City News reporters that they will hold their November meeting beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Special guest speaker for the meeting will be Bridget Van Landingham, who is developing a training course, in conjunction with several other local groups, to be offered to business owners and staff in the hospitality and guest service sector.
“This is something this area has wanted for a while — we’re excited to see it in progress,” Council President Adam Shockey told Historic City News. “The new program will provide customer service training as well as focus on destination awareness.”
As tourism industry professionals, Council members and guests may attend from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. tomorrow and offer feedback on what would be useful to see included in the program.
The November meeting will be held at the Hilton St Augustine Historic Bayfront, located at 32 Avenida Menendez in St Augustine.
