St Johns County Sheriff’s investigators are asking for Historic City News readers to see if they recognize the man caught on surveillance video as he robbed the BBVA Compass Bank located at 1695 US-1 South this afternoon.
The robber entered the bank around 2:37 p.m., approached the teller and demanded money.
An undisclosed amount of cash was turned over to the robber who fled the bank traveling southbound on US-1 South in a grey or silver colored sedan.
From the video images, detectives know that the robber is a white male in his mid to late 20’s wearing dark colored clothing with light colored stripes on the side of the jacket and pants. He was wearing a blue and white baseball cap, embroidered with the letter “F”. He was wearing a pair of sunglasses on his cap.
