In accordance with Florida State Statute 775.21, this news release will serve as public notification that the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office has been given information that a person judged to be a sexual predator is now residing within St. Johns County.
The name of the sexual predator is Jaufees Lee Mitchell.
He will be residing at 9715 McMahon Avenue in Hastings.
Mitchell is a black male, 18 years old, 5’06” tall, 161 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes.
Mitchell, who was a juvenile at the time of the offense, was adjudicated guilty for sexual battery on a child under 12 years old in January 2013 in Volusia County.
He was sentenced to twenty years of probation.
By law he is registered as a Sexual Predator pursuant to Section 775.21 F.S.
