Historic City News received word that contractors working with the City of St Augustine will be restoring pavement along Valencia Street on Tuesday and Wednesday (April 10 and 11) necessitating a temporary parking ban in order for the work to be completed.
According to Paul Williamson in a press release this afternoon, the work will consist of milling down the existing asphalt surface and replacing it with new asphalt.
As a result, parking will be prohibited on Valencia Street in the construction area between Riberia Street and Cordova Street from 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on both days.
Vehicles parked in the project area will be towed at owner’s expense without exception. Residents on Valencia St. will have access to and from their property.
“The Public Works Department appreciates the community’s cooperation during this project and apologizes for any inconvenience,” Williamson said.
