Laurie Sanderson reported the following St. Augustine and St. Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
State Road 16: Crews are scheduled to repaint the roadway lines from the Clay County line to US 1. This is a slow moving operation.
State Road 207: Daytime lane closures from the Putnam County line to US 1 while crews repaint the roadway markings.
State Road 207: Daytime lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday for trimming and sweeping along the sidewalk from US 1 to State Road 312.
State Road 312: Crews are scheduled to repaint the roadway lines from US 1 to State Road A1A, excluding the construction zone over the State Road 312 eastbound bridge. This is a slow moving operation.
State Road 312: Traffic has been shifted on the eastbound lanes of the Mickler-O’Connell Bridge over the Matanzas River. Motorists should use caution while driving in the area as crews repair and repaint the bridge. Pedestrians are advised to avoid the east bridge.
State Road 312: Nighttime lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. at US 1 for turn lane construction by St. Johns County. Questions may be directed to Project Manager Greg Caldwell in the St. Johns County Engineering Division at (904) 209-0132 orgcaldwell@sjcfl.us.
State Road A1A: Daytime lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday from Beachcomber Way to 3312 Coastal Highway to clean bike lanes.
State Road A1A: Crews are scheduled to repaint the roadway lines from the Flagler County line to Avenida Menendez. This is a slow moving operation. Also, daytime lane closures while crews repaint the roadway markings.
US 1: Crews are scheduled to repaint the roadway lines from the Flagler County line to State Road 16, excluding the construction zone at the US 1 San Sebastian River Bridge. This is a slow moving operation.
US 1: Nighttime lane closures for southbound traffic from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the San Sebastian River Bridge from Saragossa Street to King Street for the bridge replacement project. Traffic has been shifted and the left turn lane removed onto eastbound King Street for southbound US 1 traffic.
